Installing, plan compatibility, how discounts combine, uninstalling, and data. If your question is not here, email it in and it will be added.
Installing
When can I install it?
The app is in development and is not on the Shopify App Store yet. Everything described on this site is what version 1 does at launch.
Send an email to the support address and you will get one message when the listing goes live. That is the only message you will get.
How will installing work?
The same way as any other Shopify app. You install it from the App Store listing, approve the permissions, and the app opens inside your Shopify admin where you create your first discount.
There is no theme editing and no code to paste anywhere.
Does it work on my Shopify plan?
Yes. The app uses Shopify Functions, which is available on every Shopify plan, so a Basic store gets the same checkout behaviour as a Plus store.
Will it slow down my storefront?
It should not. Nothing is added to your theme and no script is loaded in the browser. The discount is calculated by Shopify inside the checkout.
Discounts
Do customers need a discount code?
No. Discounts created with this app are automatic. When the cart meets the quantity you set, the discount is applied at checkout without the customer typing anything.
What happens if a cart matches more than one of my tiers?
The highest tier the cart qualifies for is the one that applies. If you set 2 units at 10 percent off and 5 units at 20 percent off, a cart with 6 units gets 20 percent off, not 30 percent.
How does this stack with my other discounts?
Shopify decides what can combine, not the app. The discounts this app creates are automatic product discounts, and Shopify does not let two product discounts apply to the same item, so only one of them wins.
A product discount can combine with an order discount or a shipping discount. The app creates each discount with those two combinations allowed, and you can turn either of them off on the discount itself.
Can I schedule a discount in advance?
Yes. Give the discount a start date, and an end date if you want it to stop on its own. You can also deactivate a discount and keep it saved for later.
Can I limit a discount to certain products?
Not in version 1. A discount is evaluated against the quantity in the whole cart and applies store wide. If that matters for your store, say so by email and it will count towards what gets built next.
Billing
How much does it cost?
There is a Free plan at zero dollars a month that runs one discount with up to three tiers, and it does not expire. Plus is ten dollars a month and Pro is twenty dollars a month.
Both paid plans come with a 7 day free trial, so you can try the higher limits on your own store before anything is charged.
How does billing work?
Through Shopify. You approve the charge inside Shopify when you upgrade, and it appears on your regular Shopify invoice. There is no separate card to enter and nothing to cancel outside Shopify.
If you stay on the Free plan, you are never asked for payment details at all.
What happens when the free trial ends?
The paid plan starts and the first charge appears on your next Shopify invoice. If you do not want to continue, downgrade to Free or uninstall before the 7 days are up and nothing is charged.
Downgrading to Free keeps your discounts, but only the first one stays active, because Free runs one discount at a time.
What happens when I uninstall the app?
The discounts the app created stop applying, because the Shopify Function that calculates them is removed with the app. Your storefront and theme are untouched, since the app never added anything to them.
Your store data is deleted on the schedule described in the privacy policy, in line with Shopify's requirements for app developers.
Data and privacy
What data does the app access?
The access it needs to create and run discounts: your store profile, the discounts the app creates, and your product catalogue so names and prices can be shown in the editor. The app does not need, and does not ask for, your customers' payment details.
The privacy policy lists each permission and the reason for it.
Does the app store my customers' personal data?
No. Discounts are calculated by Shopify inside the checkout through Shopify Functions, so cart contents are never sent to the app. The app stores the discounts you configure and the identity of your store, and nothing about individual shoppers.
How are GDPR requests handled?
Shopify sends app developers three mandatory webhooks: customer data requests, customer redaction and shop redaction. The app responds to all three.
Because the app holds no customer records, a customer data request returns confirmation that nothing is held. A shop redaction erases everything stored for your store.

Hear about it when it launches
The app is being built now. Send one email and you get one back when it is live on the Shopify App Store. No newsletter, no drip sequence.
