Terms of service

These terms form an agreement between you, the merchant installing the app, and Shaurya. By installing or using EZ Master Discount (the "app") you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not install the app.

1. What the app does

The app lets you create automatic tiered quantity discounts for your Shopify store. Discounts are applied by Shopify at checkout through Shopify Functions. How many discounts you can run at once, and how many tiers each one can hold, depends on your plan.

We may add, change or remove features. If a change removes something you depend on, we will tell you before it takes effect where we reasonably can.

2. Your Shopify account

You need an active Shopify store to use the app, and your use is also governed by your agreement with Shopify. You are responsible for the staff accounts you give access to the app and for what they do with it.

3. Subscriptions and payment

• The Free plan costs nothing and does not expire. You are not asked for payment details to use it.
• Paid subscriptions are billed through Shopify and appear on your Shopify invoice. You approve the charge inside Shopify when you upgrade.
• Fees are stated on the pricing page and are charged for each billing period in advance.
• Plus and Pro include a 7 day free trial. Charges begin when the trial ends unless you downgrade to Free or uninstall before then.
• Uninstalling the app ends the subscription for future billing periods. Charges already made are not refunded automatically, but if the app did not work as described, email support within 30 days of the charge and a refund will be arranged.
• We may change prices. Existing subscribers get at least 30 days notice by email before a new price applies to them, and can downgrade or uninstall before it takes effect.

4. How you may use the app

You agree not to:

• use the app to offer discounts that break the law where you sell, including pricing, advertising and consumer protection rules;
• attempt to access the app's systems or other merchants' data without authorisation;
• copy, decompile or resell the app or any part of it, except where the law permits it; or
• use the app in a way that interferes with its operation for others.

5. Your responsibilities for your discounts

You decide what discounts to run, at what quantities and for how long. You are responsible for checking that a discount behaves as you intend before you promote it, including how it interacts with other discounts on your store, and for the accuracy of what you advertise to your customers.

6. Data

How data is handled is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. You keep ownership of your store and customer data. You grant us the limited permission needed to operate the app for you.

7. Availability

We work to keep the app available and correct, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. Shopify's own platform, including checkout, is outside our control. Maintenance that we expect to interrupt the service will be announced by email where practical.

8. Warranties

The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data. Our total liability arising from the app in any 12 month period is limited to the fees you paid us for the app in that period.

10. Indemnity

You will cover us against claims brought by third parties, including your customers, that arise from discounts you chose to run or from your breach of these terms.

11. Ending the agreement

You may end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or end it if you breach these terms, if required by Shopify, or if we stop offering the app, in which case we will give you reasonable notice. When the agreement ends, the app stops creating and applying discounts for your store and your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy.

12. Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, the date at the top is updated and we email the address on your store account. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
